I am thankful for new life. Today I got to meet a friend’s brand new (8 day old) little baby girl. She is beautiful. This precious tiny little life that is full of endless possibilities.  I only saw her for a few minutes but they were an amazing few minutes in which I got to see the joy of a mom of 2 boys share one of her first moments (of many to come) sharing her pride in her new daughter. I got to see the hint of honor and jealousy of a newly crowned big brother who is no longer the baby of the family. I also got to caress a soft tiny baby cheeks. People talk about new baby smell but my favorite is the softness of baby cheeks. Perfect for cuddling, caressing, and kissing. I feel blessed and thankful to have that moment.
