Thank you. #147

I am thankful for long awaited answers. Cameron has struggled socially and at school for a long time (always maybe). He has never quite understood social cues or emotional importance. Approximately a year ago we started seeking help and information from doctors that led to a referral to a Developmental Pediatrician. After what seemed like a hundred year wait we got our appointment. Today was the second of two appointments. The doctor to Cam in to a testing room and did her assessments. After about and hour she Cam out and had Rob and I come to her office to discuss results while Cam waited in the wait area. Her diagnosis is that Cameron is Autistic. As she spoke about him and what she had seen I felt relief. For the last 5+ years I have told people of concerns I have and behaviours I have seen and they have always to me felt ignored. Today I had not just someone but a doctor see it and put a name to it. I am so thankful to finally have answers to questions that have haunted my mind for many years.
