Today was an amazing day. It wasn’t really special. I didn’t even leave the house. It was such a gorgeous day out that I decided to open up the doors to get some fresh air in the house. The boys were so excited that it was nice outside. They decided that they wanted to have a picnic lunch on the porch. They found a caterpillar that they named Cameron. He thought that Cameron was a good name for a fuzzy caterpillar. Then the boys decided that sitting in the sun drawing pictures and playing with trucks would be a good idea. The spent near 3 hours just running in and out of the house from the front porch to the back. They were so excited for the warm weather. But more then that though they seemed excited about their new found freedom. I left the doors open and the gate on the front porch and allowed them to come in and out as they wanted while I was doing things around the house and taking care of Aly. I was always near by but not always seen. This little peice of independence was a big deal to them. I was a GREAT day with no fights and no time outs. It was one of those days that your glad to be a parent.
