I am thankful for a chance to meet new moms. Today I started in a new parenting group. It is nice to get the break from kids and to meet new moms and talk with them about all the things moms (and dads) have to deal with.

I am thankful for some great play time with my beautiful little girl. Lately she has been going through that wonderful 3 year old faze where she knows everything and doesn’t want help from anyone and she tells everyone what to do. It is a very tiring faze. This morning however was completely different. She was so pleasant and wanted to play and spend time with mommy. She was in such a loving mood. I am so thankful for a happy day, it gives me strength to better cope with the three-nager days.

I am thankful for having the right friends at the right time. I was feeling a bit stressed out to today so I signed into a parent group I am a part of and posted about what was going on and some of my mom friends in the group jumped in with words of support and suggestions. It was very appreciated and much needed.  Thank you for those willing to listen and help with a kind word.

I am thankful for safe travel. Today we took the kids to the science center. When we planned our trip we didn’t know that it was going to snow. When we got up 8 the morning the roads were clear. Then just before we left it began to snow and continued to snow all day. Our trip home was very stressful but over all very uneventful and fir that I am thankful.

I am thankful for time with chosen family. It has been few weeks (to long) since our last get together and I am so thankful for the time together and to catch up. Hug and loves, I missed you.

I am thankful for a nice chat with a friend. Today I got to spend time chatting with a close friend. Do to life we are not as geographically close as we use to be but we are still close and I am thankful for that. I am thankful that when we chat or visit that the time and distance fades away and it is like “old times”. If you read this I am sure you will know who you are. I miss you and I am so thankful to have you in my life.

I am thankful for the understanding of other parents. Today I took Aly to a play group and she decided she didn’t want to listen to mommy and that she was going to have a complete meltdown and make sure everyone knew that she was mad so I decided it was time to leave which made her even angrier. As I was trying to get her ready to leave I kept imagining dirty looks on the other moms faces because of the way Aly was carrying on. I looked up to discover that most of the moms were to busy with there kids to even glance over and that the two that were looking looked like they wanted to help but were unsure how. I am so thankful for that understanding and lack of judgement. It was just what I needed in that moment to follow through and to not take the easy way out just to stop the screaming.

I am thankful for family day. I am thankful for time spent with Rob and the kids having fun and taking a break from day to day life. Today I baked cookies with Nate and Aly.

We visited with Nana and Papa. Then we finished off the day with a wonderful fillet of sole dinner (I love that my kids eat everything/anything) and a nice early bed time for the kids. It is so nice to have all the kids in bed by 6:45pm and a quiet evening to myself.

I am so thankful to have had such a great day.

I am thankful for a warm house to be in on these cold days. It is bitter cold out and I am so thankful to have some where warm to be. Prayers to those who aren’t as blessed.
