Okay. Okay. But I really am thankful for a beautiful spring day and for being able to open up the house, let in some fresh air and to get a bit of cleaning done.

Running a little late again so this is for Thursday April 2.

Today I attended the second half of a creative writing workshop. Last week I would not have said I was thankful for the workshop. It was very stressful and anxiety causing. I am not a writer and I really don’t like presenting/reading in front of people. The first week I was so worked up when class ended. I didn’t want to attend the second class. I decided to confront my fear and attend the second class. After it ended I felt relieved and very proud of myself for facing my fear. I am thankful that that I had the chance to face my fears and try to better myself.

Below are the two pieces that I did at the classes.

The first piece was suppose to be inspired by an item I chose from a group of items.

Writing assignment 1

The second piece was to begin with the sentence “I remember a time when…”

Running a little late again so this is for Wednesday April 1.

I am thankful for some time alone. It was only about an hour and a half but it was still great having time to rest and relax without having to run around doing things for others.

Running a little late again so this is for Monday March 30.

I am thankful for baby cuddles. Today I met up with a friend and 2 of her kids at Aly’s play group. The friends youngest daughter is 2 months old. I got to spend about an hour holding and cuddling with baby. I love and miss those days with my kids. They were such great days that passed to quickly. I am thankful for he cuddle time I had and for the memories it brought of cuddling with my own kids when they were tiny.

I am thankful for new connections. Today I went to a seminar on Autism called The Autism Compass: Your Resource Roadmap to help you navigate your ASD Journey being put on by AutismsAngels.com and Autism Ontario.  I am thankful for the connections that I made there, connections to different community groups. Even better than that though is the possibility of new friends met. While at the seminar I spoke with a few other parents and exchanged facebook info. It is a nice feeling to think that I may have met people who could become new friends or at least acquaintances who understands the journey we are on.

I am thankful for a deal a just the right moment. This week Cameron has a birthday party to go to. I took him shopping to pick out a gift. Of course the gifts he wanted to choose were all to pricey. He finally found one item hat he liked but I thought it was over priced so we decided to go to Toy’s R Us to see what they had. We got there discover they had a big toy sale on and he was able to find a gift he loved and at a price mommy was okay with. I am so thankful for a good sale and a happy boy.

I am thankful for true Random Acts of Kindness. These pay it forwards people have been doing of buying a random person coffee at the store or something like that are nice but I am thankful for the acts of kindness from the heart. Yesterday I saw a man driving along stop his truck and block traffic. He then got out and went to help an elderly man across the road. The elderly man was struggling to get across, his walker was caught up in a crack in the road. The man could have just driven by, he could have pretended he hadn’t seen it, but he didn’t. He just to stop his day to help someone in need. I am sure moments like these happen every day. They are mostly thankless moments that go unseen. I don’t know the elderly gentleman or the man who helped him. I will likely never see either of them aain but I want to say thankyou to you sir for seeing a need and for stepping in and stepping up. You made this world a better place. A better place for the man you helped, for me and through that for my kids who were in the car with me and saw you help. That moment impacted more people than I am sure you will ever know. I am thankful for people who make he world a better place without knowing.

I am thankful for moments of challenge, for without them we wouldn’t know the areas of our life that need attention. We wouldn’t know the areas we need to grow in, to better ourselves. Challenges are hard but if we face them the possibilities could be endless.
