I am thankful for the break from routine that comes with Christmas holidays. No packing lunches and I don’t have to get as early.

I am thankful for all of the people (teachers, admin staff, parents, grand parents, etc) who organize and run things like the school Christmas concert. They aren’t paid to do it but they do anyways. I am thankful for them and all of their hard wor

I am thankful for a day of good feelings. I felt pride when Cameron showed off a school project to his principal, he was so excited and so happy. I felt happy to help a stranger in need, it is such a great feeling to help someone who needs it but never expected it. I felt accomplished after making baked goods for a bake sale at the boys school (without burning anything). There were many more emotions as well but these three were the ones that put the day over the top and made me feel so thankful.

Tonight I am thankful for the thankful spirits of my children. Tonight Cameron wanted to add to our bedtime prayers (this is a normal occurrence). Tonight his prayer was that he was thankful for everything in the world.  Especially his books, like his new and old testament story books. It was just so sweet and fitting to hear Cameron being thankful for his books.

I am thankful for a wonderful birthday. I am thankful for all of my Facebook friends, true friends, husband, kids, family and everyone I love who took the time through out this weekend to show me their love through their birthday wishes for me. Thank you for being their and for taking your time to make me feel so loved. I am truly blessed to have so many people who care. Thank you all.

I am thankful for some mommy daughter time with Aly and time with her at a preschool friends birthday party. I had such a wonderful time watching her play and socialize with her friend. I am thankful for my beautiful, loving daughter.

I am thankful that I was able to spend an evening celebrating my birthday with my chosen sister. It is great to have friends but it is amazing to expand your family. Thank you for being here to celebrate with my family and I. I can’t imagine the last 7 years without you (and your parents) and I am glad I don’t have to.

I am thankful for a great time watching the kids play in the snow. Tonight after school all three kids got bundled up and went out side to play in the snow while I shoveled the driveway. While we were out there the 2 kids from across the street came over to play too. It was so nice getting to watch them play and enjoy the snow. I am also thankful that they were able to get along while I was shoveling and to allow me to get it done. (Unfortunately there are no pictures of them playing because my phone wasn’t charged so I couldn’t take any.)

I am thankful for the little gifts of love. Rob found a can of Cranberry Ginger ale (one of my favorite pops) in the cupboard that we didn’t know we still had and put it in the fridge for me. Then last night at dinner he wrapped it in tinfoil to surprise me with it and put it on the table. It was so sweet to have him try to surprise me with it. I love and am thankful for the extra effort he put into it.

I am thankful for the people we need coming into our lives when we need them. I have recently met a few knew moms with children who are struggling in school in ways similar to what we are facing with the boys. I am so thankful for the network of support that these wonderful moms are becoming. I have been feeling a bit stressed out and it is so nice to know that I have these moms to reach out to and that they understand that stress.
